The INFINAIR lab, a first-class lab in the fan industry

The lab was first founded in 2006. Then, in 2013, INFINAIR reinvested over 2 million US$ to renovate it. The INFINAIR Lab building is designed for testing fans, with 3 air performance chambers, a huge reverberant room, and auxiliary test fields, which supports test of full parameters from very small to very large fans.
Now the range of test includes aerodynamic performance, reverberant sound test, heavy duty vibration test, and tunnel or metro fan thrust test. The lab also combines numerous test functions and abilities, such as smoke and fire application, motor performance, electrical safety, material physicochemical test, etc.
Especially, all designs, constructions, configurations and operations are strictly following the AMCA Standard 210 & 300.
“How to convert drawings to a building is a hard work. During the process of lab construction and accreditation, we’ve been working so hard to take care all the details. Things seem easy, but it will become complicated later, it’s always like that. Our purpose is not only to test fans but also to make our fans more reliable. ”Lab director said.
We test, and then we send the same sample fan to the AMCA’s (Air Movement & Control Association) Chicago or Malaysia lab for testing. If the result shows something different we will re-test and re-calibrate our system.
Day after day, the lab iterates, evolves. The lab becomes more and more mature. It accumulated precious know-how, and became a first-class lab in the industry.
Now, the lab was accredited by AMCA according to Standard 111. Actually, the lab was the very first lab in China that is accredited by AMCA. Furthermore, the lab is listed as a Nationally Accredited Testing Laboratory by CNAS according to ISO Standard 17025.

The INFINAIR lab has replaced cardboard shielding test method with new generation of precise flow nozzle matrix systems. And all three air chambers use advanced digital data acquisition systems and real-time data analysis software. Electronically controlled dampers can make precise adjustments.
